Dr. Eric Hernandez to join JWST WBT as a sponsor

Dr. Eric Hernandez of Alpine Woods Medical, PLLC, will be providing medical care for me prior to and during the year long ride! Eric’s motto is “Restoring the confidence, convenience and integrity of the physician-patient relationship.”

That motto says it all. Eric considers his patients’ time more important than his own. In the past few weeks, he has made several visits to my house to treat me for a number of medical issues that I have had, including those which I discussed in my previous post. His cell phone is never turned off, and he is willing to use Skype as an examination and diagnostic tool. Perfect for a world bicycle ride! And perfect for anyone who wants a physician who is dedicated to his patients.

Eric has a very unique business model. You pay him an annual fee, which gives you 24-hour access to his services. The fee can be paid through your medical care savings account (which uses pre-tax dollars). When you are treated, Eric can prepare a statement of the cost, which you may be able to submit to your insurance as an out-of-network expense, for partial reimbursement.
