Hey! France has A LOT of nuclear reactors! Actually, they all tend to be located along sources of water because they need it to cool the reactor. I need to point out that this is a deficiency of conventional solid fuel reactors. The type of nuclear power that the world will ultimately adopt will be based on a liquid form of thorium, which runs MUCH hotter and, therefore, does not need large amounts of water for cooling. They could be put in the desserts of Wyoming, for example. The are called LFTR’s. Liquid Fluoride Thorium Reactors. But, if you know me, you have probably already heard about them.<\/p>\n

I started the day by sharing breakfast with a new friend: Boucheteau Pascal, who offered me about a ton of food. I countered with the best I could offer, a cup of OZO’s coffee. Neither of us spoke the other’s language, but got by using Google translate.<\/p>\n

I spent most of the day working, making a few bucks to keep this dream going. I only biked about 35 km, but arrived at another wonderful campsite, where I will put down roots until tomorrow morning. What a country!<\/p>\n
